1. Agreement and operator
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Costryx LLC, doing business as ResumeBuilder101 (“ResumeBuilder101,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using ResumeBuilder101, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement where you live. If you are under the age of majority, you may use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
You may begin building without an account. Paid features, cloud saves, and multi-device access require a ResumeBuilder101 account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for activity performed through your account. Contact us promptly if you believe your account or purchase has been used without authorization.
3. The service
ResumeBuilder101 provides resume templates, guided editing tools, scoring and keyword feedback, export tools, and related job-application features. Features may vary by plan and may change as the service develops.
ResumeBuilder101 provides drafting and organizational tools—not legal, career-placement, human-resources, or professional recruiting advice. We do not guarantee interviews, employment, compensation, applicant-tracking-system results, or that every employer will accept a particular format.
You are responsible for reviewing all generated, rewritten, scored, or suggested content for truth, accuracy, appropriateness, and completeness before using or submitting it. Do not add a skill, credential, result, or experience unless it is true.
4. Plans and billing
Includes the free features described on the pricing page, including one eligible PDF export.
Provides the listed Resume Pass features for 30 days. It does not renew or convert into a subscription.
Renews automatically each month until canceled. You may cancel at any time through the account billing portal.
Prices are in U.S. dollars unless Checkout states otherwise. Applicable taxes may be added. Stripe processes payments and may present additional payment-method terms.
Career Plus renews at the disclosed monthly price unless you cancel before the next billing date. Cancellation stops future renewals; access ordinarily continues through the paid billing period. We may change prices prospectively, but will provide notice when required before a change applies to an existing subscription.
5. Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable refund, cancellation, or consumer right available under applicable law.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the resume content and other material you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, display, and transmit Your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
You represent that you have the rights needed to use Your Content and that it does not violate law or another person’s rights. You are responsible for keeping your own backup. We are not an archival storage service.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful activity;
- misrepresent your identity, qualifications, employment, education, or achievements;
- upload malware or attempt to disrupt, probe, bypass, or gain unauthorized access to the service;
- scrape, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service except as we expressly permit;
- reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
8. Our intellectual property
The service, its software, brand, templates, visual design, and original content are owned by Costryx LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the service and to use resumes you create for your personal or internal business purposes.
9. Third-party services
The service relies on third parties, including OpenAI for ChatGPT Sites hosting and database infrastructure, Resend for transactional account emails, and Stripe for payments and billing. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
10. Availability, suspension, and termination
We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms were violated, use creates risk or legal exposure, payment is overdue, or action is needed to protect users or the service. You may stop using the service at any time and may cancel Career Plus through the billing portal.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or the preservation of every draft. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Costryx LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, data, goodwill, or employment prospects arising from the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid to ResumeBuilder101 during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.
13. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective date, and additional notice will be provided when required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining terms remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization or business transaction. Applicable law governs without overriding consumer protections that apply where you live.
